How To Identify Potential ‘Best’ Photographers In Your Area

Step 1: Ask around

You would do well to ask the neighbours, friends and relatives about who they think is the best photographer in your area based on their experience. Gather facts about all the photographers mentioned, then carefully strike some out.

How to select which photographers to strike out?

For example, Dave says, ‘’ Wale is a good photographer but he can be late sometimes’’.

Lateness shouldn’t be a feature of any entrepreneur at all, so you strike Wale’s name out.

What if your neighbour says, ‘’ Wale is a good photographer but I don’t know much about him’’

You can mark out Wale in such circumstance, and find out more about him later.

That way, you can cut down the number of photographers on your list to four or five.

Step 2: Review The Photographers On Your List

After gathering the prospective ‘best’ photographers in your area, review them one by one, identifying and tracing their special features and qualities, listen to reviews about them, their billing and the points of their business.

Identify their weak points and strike out the photographers with the qualities you can’t put up with.

You should be left with about only three or four photographers by then.

Remember, only one, the best is your target.

Step 3: Meet the prospective Photographers

Organize a meeting with the photographers one by one, and tell them about an impending or coming occass of yours.

Ask them about their Billings, requirements and so on.

During this part, you will strike out anyone of the prospective Photographers that seems to be unsure of themselves.

You will identify the newbie by the way they fidget. Strike them out.

This should leave you with about three Photographers.

Step 4: How much is the payment for their Service?

Of the three Photographers left with you, one would charge exorbitant bills.

One would charge you on an average note, and one would charge you cheap.

I wouldn’t advise you to take the cheapest Photographer, but you can strike out the photographer who charges what you can’t pay for.

Step 5: Take a pre-shoot from each Photographer

This, being the final step, is very important, and should be between two Photographers or three.

Have all your selected Photographers take you a pre-shoot, then of all the Photograph outcomes, choose the one you love best, the photographer who shot that shoot, should be the best Photographer in your area!
