How to Create a Halloween Text Effect in Photoshop

How to Create a Creepy Halloween Text Effect in Photoshop

You might want to create a text effect for Halloween. But you might not know how to create one without drawing it by hand. Of course, that’s something that’s actually quite hard to do. So instead of doing that, why not try using Photoshop? You can easily create a Halloween text effect in Photoshop by following these steps below:

1). Open up the “Text” layer in your work area

2). Drag your text into the blend mode called “Overlay”

3). Click on “Layer” and then go to “Layer Style”
4). Click on drop-down menu and select “Stroke”

5). Click on the color box and change the color to black. Then click OK
6). Go to image menu and select “Canvas Size”
7). Drag the bottom right corner so it would fit inside your picture. Click OK
8). You will see a line around your text. You might want to delete that line, so here’s how you do it: Go to image menu> adjustments> highlight/shadow…

9). Once you are done editing, click OK. Then go back to Layer Style window. Click on “Drop Shadow” and change the order to be “0”
10). Click the “OK” button and you will get your Halloween text effect in Photoshop!
